Post 84 I've read some great stories about these "doctors". I am one year old -- it happened to me, too! I've suffered from this since I was two when took the medicine over and over. It should also be noted that most antibiotics work in a more indirect way by "defacing" bacterial cell walls—in particular, by interfering with the PEP of an antibiotic—so that resistance is caused by increased bacterial resistance genes or reduced cell wall activity when cells are infected. The extent to which PEP of a ciclopiroxic antibiotic is affected unclear, and even limited, studies of the interaction antibiotics with drugs in different formulations have not been conducted. Nevertheless, early studies showed that the PEP of ciclopiroxics is weak and that combinations of dicloxacillin, mexaflor and polymyxins may reduce or completely inactivate some of the antibiotics. This suggests a problem of the ability dicloxacillin, mexoflor and polymyxins to displace cells, which leads their failure to function properly and a decrease in the effectiveness of antibiotics.
